Thanks for finding me and welcome to the first blog on Big World.

My hope is that the Big World blog will be an opportunity for an exchange of ideas. I would like this blog to change people’s minds - not least my own.

When we enter the world we are a blank canvas which rapidly fills with our experiences and the ideas that we encounter. Sometimes we genuinely evaluate as we come across challenges. More often than not we approach life with a fixed view based on our limited experience.

Why is it that we find it so difficult to widen our perspective? Why can’t a politician genuinely change his or her mind? Why do we find it hard to accept that an individual finds a new faith? Why can’t a nation move in a new direction? 

I would like to offer a ‘Unique’ view based on all my preconceptions. At the same time I would like to keep a wide crack open in my far too closed mind. How can I evaluate and learn If I am not presented with an alternative commentary. So, please use the comment box to agree or disagree with me.

As for who I am, I expect that my blog will define me as time goes by. Just like you, I am ‘Unique’.
